What are the benefits of Assisted Stretching?

Stress Reduction
The Elderly Adult
The Worker
The Athlete

Lower cortisol and perceived stress suggest physiological stress reduction associated with stretching.

Assisted stretching (active assisted and PNF techniques) is proven effective in reducing age related range of motion loss in the elderly adult over the course of 8 weeks.

Shows that stretching is effective for preventing, as well as treating pain from work related MSD (musculoskeletal disorders); neck, shoulders, low back, etc.

Contrary to popular opinion, excessive stretching doesn’t prove to be beneficial to athletic performance or recovery. However, it can increase range of motion and muscle length, and a proper dynamic stretching warm-up can increase athletic performance.
